FUNERAL AT SEA
In fulfilment of his expressed wish, Mr Arthur Mottoram Gent, aged 73, ot Bisphain, Blaekjrjol, was buried at sea recently. His desire was that his remains should bo fastened to an ordinary board, but his relatives decided that the body should bo enclosed in a coffin. With a number of wreaths strapped to it, the coffin was carried out to sea four and a-half miles west Pf Rossall Point by a Fleetwood prawn boat, and while a largo number of people on tho beach stood bareheaded the body was committed to tho deep in five fathoms of water <->vor Shelly Bank. Fifteen relatives and friends attended the committal service, which wasaccording to tho rites of the Royal’ Ancient Order of Buffaloes,
