SUNKEN BATTLESHIP

THE HINDENBURG SECOND ATTEMPT AT SALVAGE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, Juno 13. (Received June 14, at 9.15 a.m.) A second attempt is being made to raise the Hindenberg at Scapa Flow. If the task is accomplished it will create a record for warship salvage. With a displacement of 28,000 tons, a length of 750 ft, and a beam of 90ft, tho Hindenberg is 75ft deep in her rocky bed.

The first attempt failed because the list could not be controlled. This time 600 tons of concrete are being used pu tho port side, which is expected to steady the hull when the lifting begins. Thus far twenty-nine vessels have been raised. In addition to tho Hindenberg there are still fifteen ships of tho German Fleet on the bottom.
