It was officially announced yesterday that the Prime Minister will leave Wellington on Sunday for Rotorua to continue the treatment he has been receiving. (Sir Joseph "Ward is accepting the advice of bis Cabinet colleagues to remain in the thermal centre for about a month in order to obtain the fullest benefit from the curative ' treatment. During' that time he will be in daily communication with Wellington by telephone. A Press Association • cable message from London states that Mr H. A Press Association telegram from Wellington states that Mr JV. Donovan, of the Dominion Laboratory, has been appointed dominion analyst in succession to Dr J. S. Maclaunn, who is to retire at the end of the present month. ‘

Mr W. H. Atacb, who has been manager of the United Press Association of New Zealand since 1886, will this year retire on- superannuation. Tiie directors of the association, at their last meeting, decided that on his retirement, lie should be: granted sis months’ leave of absence on full pay. Hainsworth, the general manager of the North-east Coast Exhibition, who relinquished his appointment on January 31, left for New; Zealand early in February. Father Buckley, who has been in charge of the Riverton parish for the past eleven years, and is returning take up his residence in Dunedin, was tendered a farewell on Tuesday night, when he was presented with a cheque by the members of his congregation. CrawshaW, secretary for New Zealand for - the Mission to Lepers, who has been holding meetings for the past week, in Central Otago and .Queenstown, returned to Dunedin to-day to hold further meetings in our city. The death occurred yesterday of M;‘ Robinson Bentham, at the age of qjghty-one years. The deceased gentle* man was intimately connected with the Anglican Church here as Synod > man, and as vestryman of St. Johii’u Church, Rqslyn, and latterly of St Mary’s, Mornington. For many year he had lived in retirement, but ii earlier days he’ was well known in busi< ness circles as the proprietor of a mercery and outfitting business in George street.

The death occured at his residence, Dunedin, on Thursday of Mr Peter Cameron, who for many years was widely known throughout New Zealand as an exporter of frozen , produce. Mr Cameroh was born in Fifeshire,. Scotland JS72, and at an early age came to New Zealand with his father, who settled on the land. After working for some time'with his father be purchased Islay Station, hear Pukerau, whore ho remained until 1906, when he sold out and set up in business .as an exporter. He later ‘established a tertiliser works at' Burnside, which ho operated in conjunction with his business. and about 1918 he built the tool storage premises in South Dunedin; which are how occupied by the Crystal Ice Cream Company. Until three v«ar& ago Mr Cameron held the casing .contract for the majority of the freezing works in the dominion. He is survived by his widow, two sons, and three daughters. His Honour Mr Justice Kennedy left this morning for Wellington to attend a silting of the Court of Appeal. His Honour was accompanied by ins- associate (Mr K. F. Varley Hudson). Dr D. Miller, entomologist at the Cawthrou Institute, has been selected to represent the Government at the Imperial Entomological .Conference to be held in London in' May next.—Wellington Press Association telegram.' Mr and Mrs Cadbury and their daughters left for Wellington this morning. Sir Charles Statham travelled to Wellington by this morning’s express. Mr Justice Kennedy was a passenger by , the same train. Mr T.‘ Jackson (Mayor of Rotorua) and Mr W. A. M'Lean (town clerk) returned north to-day after attending the Municipal Conference in Invercargill. Mr Jackson is the president-elect of the Municipal Association of New; Zealand.
