WEDDING
SEAKLE—BELL. The wedding of Dr Walter N. Searlo, of Oamaru, and Miss Cissy Bell, daughter of Professor and Mrs R. J. T. Bell, was celebrated in the Congregational Church’Moray place, on Monday evening. The church was beautifully decorated with blue and yellow (lowers and greenery by friends of the bride. The officiating clergymen were the i!ev. W. Saunders and Ihc Rev. A, Mead, 31. A. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming dross of rich ivory satin, flic long panels oilier skirt forming the train. A wreath of orange blossom secured her embroidered veil, and she carried a bouquet cl lovely cream roses. The bridesmaids wore Miss Gwen Saunders and Miss Anne 3lorrcll, and the veil was carried by Miss Elizabeth Galway. The bridesmaids’ dresses wore of lemon georgette, very dainty, with long-fitted bodices and flounced skirts, short at front, and almost touching the ground at the back. Their hats were of soft lemon felt, and their shoos of lemon satin. They carried bouquets of blue hydrangea and delphinium. The little train-bearer looked very sweet in her frilled georgette. frock and golden wreath. Hio best man was Mr Setoa Norris, while Mr Lcn Douglas acted as groomsman. Fully 100 guests were present, and Mr A. Douglas, 31 r G. Saliuond, and 3h G. W. J. Bell performed die duties 01. ushers. The reception was held m Tudor Hall, which was beautifully d<corated with (lowers, tlio wedding breakfast being tastefully purveyed. Prolessor and Mrs Bell received the guests, Mrs Bell being attired becomingly in a gown of black and silver lace, over which she wore a black cloak exquisitely embroidered.
