The King has approved of the appointment of Mr Richard Roy Maconachie, of the Indian Political Department, to be His Majesty’s Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Kabul. The new Minister to Afghanistan was counsellor of the British Legation at Kabul from 1922 to 1924.
