On Saturday evening last the senior members of the Dunedin Meccano Club spent a very enjoyable hour at the Dunedin City Corporation power house, Cumberland street. The engineer on duty patiently explained the uses of the various mechanisms. The members have to thank the town clerk (Mr G. A. Lewin) for obtaining the permit. yho Hope of Dunedin Lodge, No. 155, 1.0.G.T., held its weekly meeting m v!ood Templar Hall, Princes street, on Wednesday. C.T. Bro. H. Gore presided over a good attendance of members and visitors. Correspondence was received from the Grand Secretary in connection with the naval trophy competition; also from District Secretary, stating the intention of District Lou "e to hold a church parade in the ne" "utme. D.C.T. Bro. Dickinson and Bro. Cromarty and Sister Dray eat responded to the hearty rece.yed. At the conclusion of the meeting a kitchen evening was given to two members. The Silver Star Juvenile Temple, No. 9, met the same evening, Sister Mrs Anthony being in charge. Two were initiated, Bro. Cromarty, superin+'-ndent of Beacon Juvenile Temple, Port Chalmers, accompanied by two members, received a hearty welcome. Greetings were read from temples in Christchurch.
