CLUTHA POULTRY CLUB

AHHUAL MEETING [Feo« Ona Cokmspondbnt.] The annual meeting of the Clutha Poultry Club was held last night, when Mr W. Proud foot presided over a good attendance An apology was received from Mr S. White. The balance-sheet showed the receipts to have been £76 7s, while the expenditure was £69 12s sd, leaving a credit on the last show of £6 14s 7d. The balance the club had in hand was £23 12s Bd, while there were outstandaraounts due which would bring their credit to £34 3s 2d. The balancesheet was adopted on the motion of the chairman. The following office-bearers were ■elected foi the ensuing year:—President, Mr Jas. Craig- vice-presidents, Messrs Jas Gold and W. Keen; secretary, Mr Geo. Guest; assistant secretary, Mr A. Wood; committee— Messrs Jno Gold, C. M'Kenzie, F. Soper, C. Fallowfield, J. M. Moffat, A. Moffat, and W. Proudfoot; Schedule Committee—Messrs A. Wood, W. Keen, Jno. Gold, G. Guest, and president. It was decided to send a delegate to the association meeting at Waimate on November 19, and to approach the Kaitangata Club with a view to the delegate representing both clubs. Show dates for 1930 _ were fixed for June 20 ano 21, and it was also decided to arrange a social function for visiting exhibitors and members on the first night of the show. Reference was made to the fact that rabbits now formed a big section in the show and it was decided to alter the name of the club to the Clutha Poultry, Pigeon, and Rabbit Club. It was decided to forward a remit to the South Island Poultry Association asking that body to appoint and submit to the clubs a list of judges, from which clubs could select for the various shows, a small fee to be paid by affiliated clubs for the right to have the list of judges submitted. Those present were entertained at supper by Mi Proudfoot, and before dispersing he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks, a similar compliment being paid other retiring officers.
