MUSSOLINI ANGRY. DRASTIC DISCIPLINARY MEASURES. BERLIN, October 22. (Received October 23, at 1.30 p.m.) Signor Mussolini took drastic disciplinary measures against the entire stall of the Italian Embassy for the theft, which occurred some months ago. Desperate efforts wore made to hush the matter up. Italian! circles believe that anti-Fascists are responsible, and that the mystery is not likely ever to be satisfactorily cleared up. Signor Mussolini, who was pery angry, ordered an immediate investigation. Two embassy - officials were recalled to Italy under arrest, pending further inquiries. Steps to purge the embassy staff will be undertaken and almost the entire staff changed every two months “ for administrative purposes.”

The Italian Ambassador (Count Androvan Di Marescotti) is now in Rome reporting to the Duce. It is understood that he is not returning > to his post.—Australian Press Association.
