In various stages ot external decrepitude, but with their engines cling' ging bravely, thirty-one out of thirtyfive - motor cars completed the course from London to Brighton in the “ old crocks ” race. The winner on points was a thirty-two-year-old Benz, with a twenty-seven-ycar-old Pan hard second. A twenty-eight-year-old Lanchester, travelling at thirty miles per hour, finished first. The oldest competitor was an 1893 Panhard.—United Service.
