SUMMER RECESS OVER WORK FOR COMING SESSION. (British Official Wireless.) Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, October 20. Parliament will reassemble on Tues day week, when, in the absence of the Prime .Minister, the Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr Philip Snowden) will act as Leader of the House of Commons. The Prime Minister will arrive a few days after the House meets. As the parliamentary sittings which will begin on October 29 aro a continuation of the session which was begun last July, both Houses will resume the tasks interrupted by the summer vacation, without any ceremonial foi malities.
Many domestic measures, including the Widows’ Pensions Bill and the Mining Industry Bill, will be debated before Christmas, and there will be dis cuisions in the House of Commons on several important items of foreign policy, including resumption of full diplomatic relations with the Russian Government, the disarmament policy, reparations, and the optional clause.
