WHEN WIVES ARE NOT TOLD. Bradford husbands are to be envied. They are among -.he few of the species who retain the tight to hand over as much of their wages as they think fit. At least, this is the conclusion reached by the Bradford Pensions Committee who have to inquire into family incomes. “In all my experience on this committee,” said Alderman Tom Blythe, “ I don’t remember a single case where a wife has been able to say with certainty what were her husband’s earnings All the wive- say, ‘ He, gives me so much.’ ” said Akieiman Blythe, “ but wo have on occasions that this ‘ so-much ’ is considerably less than what is actually received by the husband.!’
