SALARIES REDUCED
JAPANESE CIVIL SERVICE OUTCRY BY EMPLOYEES. Prcs» Association--By Telegraph —Copyright TOKIO, October 19. Indignation followed the Government’s announcement of a reduction of 10 per cent, in official salaries which exceecr 100 yen'a month. The employers arc silent, except Mr Muto, managing director of Katiegnfuchi Textiles, who ridicules the idea, declaring that efficiency is preferable. —United Service. PROPOSAL ABANDONED.
