KILDARE MINING REPORT. The following report was received by the secretary of the Dunedin Stock Exchange this morning from the secretary of the Kildare Consolidated Gold Mining Company, Ltd “ The underground manager reports that the shaft is now down 55ft, and the drive opened out into the lead, where prospects are very encouraging. Wash dirt will bo tested ia a few days to prove the values per vard. The ground is very hard, and Successful driving appears now assured. The manager also reports that the elevating paddock has now been widened out, and the elevator will be lowered 15ft next week preparatory to taking out another washing.”

BUTTER AND CHEESE. The South Island Dairy Association has received the following market reports from London:—Butter: linest, 17Ss to 184 s; first, 174 sto 1765; Danish, 196 s to 200 s. Cheese: White, 93s to 945; coloured, 92s to 935. Markets quiet. SALES ON ’CHANGE: THIS DAY. Auckland: Auckland Gas, 24s lOd; Mount Lyell, 42s 6d.
