BRITAIN’S INDEPENDENCE LONDON, August 5. Britain declares her independence,’ : says the ‘Sunday- Chronicle,’ pointing out that, although unheralded and unsung, the most amazing revolution has occurred recently in Loudon theatres, where only one American play- is left out of many, tvhereas the outstanding success iu Now York theatres at present arc British plays, with others to follow. Thus the tables have been turned with a vengeance, British, dramatists have not only- won the An-glo-American theatre war, but arc also providing .the army of occupation.
