The birthday of Queen Liliuokalani (Hawaii) on September 2 will b© the date of the dedication this year of the monument to her world-popular song, ‘ Aloha Oe.’ This year marks the fiftieth anniversary of the composition of the famous Hawaiian melody by the late Queen. The monument will be in the form of a bronze plaque bearing the words of the song, and a likeness of the last Queen of the Hawaiians. The plaque is to be set on a base of volcanic lava stone in the yard of Washington place, Honolulu. At one time this was the Queen’s home, and now it is the official residence of the Governor of Hawaii. Ceremonies at the placing of the novel monument will pay tribute to Liliuokalani through the medium of music. The best singers in the islands will gather at Washington place to sing ‘ Aloha Oo ’ and other Hawaiian, compositions of the Queen’s*
