They had not heard t-110 Chambers of Commerce protest when the Reform Government raised the Customs duties. Mr Lunn retorted: “You must have been very deaf.” The chambers had always protested against increases in taxation. ■ . Mr Morton, persisting, was ordered to sit down, and eventually lie left as a protest against the manner xu which the business was conducted.
