Miles (FairJie), £7 Bs, goods supplied; Dunedin Painters’ Union v. Willie Palmer. Foley, £3 Bs, unpaid dues; F. and IG Woods, Ltd. jr. Patrick Albert Walsh (Invercargill). £2 13s 6d, unpaid dues. , JUDGMENT SUMMONS. George Harness was ordered to pay the Otago Hospital Board £9 14s 6d. with 12s costs, for board, lodging, and maintenance, in default ten days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended if he pays instalments of 10* per week. UNPAID DUES. The Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants (Mr C. J. L. White) proceeded against J. Barton in a claim! for £2 6s, as unpaid dues.—The plaintiffs stated that the defendant had not given the necessary notice of three* months in resigning from the union.— Judgment was given for the amount claimed, with costs (£4 2s). BOARD AND RENT. Mrs M. Hanan proceeded against, Joseph Christopher M'Evoy (Mr O. Cook) in a claim for £8 11s for board and residence and rent of a studio. The Magistrate stated that the money was due, and the point at issue was whether it was due to the plaintiff or; her husband. After hearing the evidence he decided that it was due to the plaintiff, and gave judgment for the amount claimed, with £1 costs. BUILDING CLAIM.

John James and Co. (Mr 11. L. Fairmaid) claimed from William Frederick Fleming (Mr F. C. Dawson) the sum of £146 as the balance owing for slates supplied and work done on a residence at Opoho.—The case arose from the fact that defendant met his creditors privately ami made an oiler of 6s Sd in the £.
