Having landed at Hobart, ho missed his ship, and found work in Tasmania, subsequently visiting most parts of Australia and New Zealand, except Wellington. He recently went to Southampton in the Corinthic, aboard which he met a missionary, the Rev. A. Benton, who persuaded Woodcock to accompany him as engineer on a voyage to the upper reaches of the Amazon m a 70ft motor launch.—Australian Press Association.
