CROSS-COUNTRY' CHAMPIONSHIP

LARGE ENTRIES RECEIVED Thirteen teams will contest the Otago five-mile cross-country championship at Wingatui next Saturday, and a very interesting race is anticipated. The holder of the individual title is • J. G. Barnes (who won the Canterbury championship last Saturday), but ho will not be competing this year.
