32,000 IN NEW SOUTH WALES 'SYDNEY, duly ,2.1. An Association of New Zealanders has been formed in Sydney. The object of tho organisation is to 'afford natives of the dominion living in New South Wales opportunity of keeping in touch with ono another. Yesterday. Sir Truhy King and his daughter were guests of the association at luncheon in the Arts Club.

Dr Purdy, president of the new association, said there were 32,000 New Zealanders in New South Wales. It was all to the advantage of Australia to have many migrants from New Zealand. For the last quarter-century New Zealand had not only had the lowest death rate of any country in the world, hut also a phenomenally low infant mortality, mainly due to ‘the work and teaching, of Sir Truhy King. Sir Truby King, who was enthusiastically received,, recalled that Sir Frederick Chapman had once stated that New Zealand was admirably situated for being the nursery of the' British race iii the Pacific. He looked forward to the time when not. only New Zealand, but Australia, would have -the lowest death rates of any country in the world. Australia at present was pressing New Zealand very closely in the matter of a low death rale.
