WELLINGTON, August Id, A cablegram was received b.y the Premier Iroin. the lligh Commissioner, slating that tho London ‘Times,’ in a leading article, makes favourable reieronefs to tiie finance.-? of the dominion. Sir Joseph Ward expressed satisfaction with tho comment, adding that, in view of the fact that no effort had been made on the part of the Government to influence, tho financial authorities in England, it would be -reassuring to some Now Zealanders who wore having some misrepresentations jnii/ be loro them in connection with tho Budget.
