A cluck which simultaneously tells the time all over the world is the latest feature of interest at the new Piccadilly Circus station It is fixed in tin subway which encircles the booking hall. Originally the Underground had contemplated the installation of a battery of clocks showing the time at principal cities of the Empire, and at some foreign capitals; but the new clock combines all this and more in a single ins! rtmienl.
It takes too form of a map of flic world, on Mercators projection, with a narrow hand travelling continually irom cast In nest along the lino of the equator, the hours of the day and night being marked upon the band. T bus at any moment the time at any place can ho read at a glance. The clock has been designed by the Untlcrground’s engineers.
