SYDNEY, April 15. In consequence of the absence of the Premier (Mr Bavin) and the death ot Mr A. Bruntncll (Chief Secretary) recently, the State Cabinet to-day agreed to M’r E. A. Buttensbaw (Secretary of Public \\ orks 1 and Minister of Railways) being appointed Acting-Premier. Mr F. A. Chaffev will be Chief Secretary. and Mr R. W. Weaver Minister of Mines and Forests. Mr S. B. Stevens will be Treasurer and Minister of Railways.
