BOWLING SEASON CLOSES

About 100 members and their friends attended the closing of the Mornington Bowling Club’s 1928-20 ■ season. The pavilion was decorated with streamers and flags. The green and surroundings were in perfect order, and. with the. perfect weather that prevailed, made the occasion ideal. The president (Mr Hobbs), in his address, thanked' the members for tho way they had sup-

.ported him during his term of office. The weather conditions had not been too kind, but as far as the season’s playing was concerned the club was fortunate in having a number of new players who were showing great promise. Thanks were due to the Ladies’ Club for-help and support. The social side ol the AVinter Club is to commence with a social evening on AA’ednesday next. The finals for the handicap doubles were decided between HolgateJohnson and Hobbs-Tavlor. the score (14-12) being in favour of Hobbs.
