The Hon. T. K. Siclcy came homo from Invercargill by the through express this morning. ■ The Hon. T M. Wilford alighted at Dunedin from the same train, and will leave for Christchurch tomorrow. The lion. W. B. Taverner detrained at Gore and took the Waimea Plains route for Kingston, from whence he proceeds to Queenstown and Cromwell, lie will be homo on Monday. The Hon. W. A. Veitcli left the train at Milton, and intends to reach Dunedin on Saturday. The Hon. H. Atmore is to arrive in Dunedin this evening and leave for the north to-morrow. Air C. H. 'Wing accompanied the Ministerial party on their journey towards Dunedin by train to-day. Mr E. A. Rosevear came up from Invercargill by the train this morning. Dr J. A. Jenkins started this morning for a trip to America, and expects to return in September. * Mr and Mrs J. A. Haggitt went north this morning to embark for America, then to England, and probably to other countries, their intention being to have a prolonged holiday tour. Mr J. S. Hislop travelled by train to Christchurch to-day. Mr E. H. Thompson, of the Dunedin staff _ of the Bank of New Zealand, is notified of his transference to Ashbur-. ton. _He will be much missed in athletics here.
