THE STANDFI ELD CASE.
TO THE KDITOB. Sir, —As one who is sick a net tired of reading of Mr Stanfields case, I think it is time the matter was dropped, i think, like hundreds of others, that the Hospital Board is to be commended on its decision. Air Standfield cannot be a man of very sensitive character or he would, in mv opinion, be utterly ashamed of himself. As Air Silverstone is well connected with workers in Dunedin, he must have seen, as have, men far older and less able doing.hard manual work. And why should Au Standfield have a .special privilege to go loafing?. X would suggest, if Mr Silverstone is so concerned about Mr Standfield, that lie. should take him into his own household, and treat him as a. benevolent star hoarder, the only other alternative is lor the Police .Department to give Air Standfield a Government job.—J. am, etc., Idle and Disorder).!'.
