Neill, who appeared lor the accused, hail was allowed in the sum of £IOO (accused’s own recognisance) and one security of £IOO or two ol £SO. ASSAULT ON CONSTABLE. A man, whose name was suppressed in the. meantime, vias charged with being found drunk, with iinlawlnlly assaulting a constable in the execution of his duly, and with damaging a. pair of trousers valued at £1 IBs, the property of the New Zealand Government, Air C. J. L. White, who appeared for the accused, asked fur a remand till .Monday next. The remand was granted, and bail was fixed at £lO (accused’s own recognisance) and one surety of £lO.
