IUNDWICK THAI NEK’S PUKCHASES. [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, December 31. Alter u nine months’ tour abroad F. "Williams, the Pandwick trainer, is on the sAorangi bound tor Sydney. He trained Kampion, Pantheon, Vaals, Vitality,, Greenstead, and many classic winners. He said the best tracks in Hie world were found in England, but Australia led in course appointments. He was not much impressed with German racing, where both the “tote” and the “bookies” operated. He considers that Fairway, which won the last St. Leger for Lord Derby, is the best horse in England. Williams, who has not made up Ids mind about the future, bought four English , curlings, including one by Pharlaris (sire of Fairway) out of Line Tit. Ho was also instrumental in purchasing for s,ooogns, on behalf of Messrs J. E. and C. H. Brien, 'Fernkloof, which ran fourth in the last Derby, and Ruffled (a three-year-old) for 3,lUUgus for Mr W. C. Douglas, of Sydney.
