In the House of Commons'Mr Amery (Secretary of State for the Dominions), in answer to a question, said'that the Government was impressed by the need for strengthening the machinery for supervising and co-ordinatinp migration arrangements. Lord Lovat had agreed to devote his whole time to the chairrnanship of the Overseas Settlement Committee. Lord Lovat had had a temporary breakdown, which was due to the strain of his recent tom - ; but he hoped to recommence work in the new year.—Australian Press Association.
