MURDER OF BANK MESSENGER

One, it is alleged, confessed. Another of those arrested stood as a candidate at tho last elections for tho Chamber of Deputies.—Australian Press Association. , [A message received on November 23 stated that iivo masked bandits drove up in a taxicab to tbo entrance of tho Elgerotuni Sienno Rank, opposite tho "Stock Exchange, amid hundreds of people, and held up three messengers who were taking money to a large factory on the outskirts of the town. The messengers resisted, hut tho bandits lirod pistols ami tore the pouches from iho messengers’ bodies. They then re-entered the taxi and drove oil' at a. furious rate. The crowd at first thought it was a movie stunt, hut found that one of the messengers was dead and tho others seriously injured. The bandits secured £3,000.]
