The Stock Exchange sales reached a now record with a total of 5,681,300 shares. Tho tickers wore over an hour behind all day, following a spectacular opening, when tremendous buying ]voured in from the entire country. Late tickers slowed the sales somewhat at noon, jmt thereafter tho buying increased again, and traders were the last in attempting to follow, There was a sensation in trading when extraordinary prico_ movements were recorded in Radio Corporation, International Nickel, and Sears, Roebuck.— Australian Press Association.
