SOME FEATURES OF THE LEIPZIG FAIR BERLIN, October 20. The fashionable woman’s craze for, the coming season has been demonstrated at this week’s annual autumn sample fair at Leipzig, which, though it does not possess the importance cj the .spring fair to the world in generals has its own special importance to sev« eral great German branches of indus* trv. Matching sets of handbag, belt, but* ton-hole, and collar, lor the attendant' dog, whether of the toy or useful variety, .in soft leather of dainty colouring, have been ordered for the Christinas trade in England in almost as large quantities as model aeroplanes and living boats and airships for the nursery. Prospects, described by tbe German business world as very bad, were enlivened by the big orders for these two most popular “ gilt articles of the coming winter.
