MOTH ’PLANE CRASHES
PASSENGER SERIOUSLY INJURED Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, SYDNEY, August 23. (Received August 23, at 9.55 a.m.) A Moth aeroplane which was taking part in the unveiling ceremony of the soldiers’ memorial at Coonabnrabran nose dived, struck a tree, then crashed to the ground. James Simpson, a local hairdresser, who was a passenger, had three ribs and suffered shock. He is in a serious condition. Tho pilot, Hammond, was unhurt. The aeroplane burst into flames, and was destroyed within sight of hundreds of spectators.
