.... . " £6,000 OWING WARRANT FOR ARREST UNEXECUTED [SreeiAi, to the ‘Star.’] CHIUSTCHURCIi, August ‘22. A meeting of the creditors of .1. M. Batchelor, solicitor, culled by advertisement, was licld to-day, about titty being present. Batchelor left Christchurch early this month, and a warrant issued tor his arrest is still unexecuted. The meeting to-day was held in camera. There was no means of ascertaining 11m total amount of debts, but it was evident that they were considerable. The meeting decided that Baielmlor bo made bankrupt, and a solicitor was instructed accordingly. The chairman stated alter llm meeting that bo believed the total debts would amount to X'C.UUU, but the exact amount was yet unknown.
