BARON LOWENSTEIN
A HUGE FORTUNE £12,000,000 LOST IN A FEW WEEKS Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright LONDON, August 9. (Received August 10, at 1 p.m.) The late Baron Loweustein’s estate is valued at about £8,000,000. It will be divided equally between his widow and his sons. The British Treasury will benefit but little, as nearly all Baron Lowenstein’s money is invested in companies registered abroad, and is therefore exempt from British death duties. It is estimated that Baron Lowenstein was worth £20,000,000 a few weeks before his death.—Australian P.A.-United Service.
