PURCHASES IN ENGLAND
A STALLION AND TWO THOROUGHBRED MARES. LONDON. July 19. (Received July 20, at 11 a.m.) On behalf of the Auckland Stud Company Mr H. R. Mackenzie has purchased the four-year-old stallion Whirlwind, by Galloper Light out of Doubleback, and also two thoroughbred mares in foal for New Zealand in time for the entries for the classic events.
