RAILWAY MONOPOLY ALLEGATIONS OF NEGLECT. £FeK UKITJSD PEES 3 ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, April 23. Strong complaints have been made here regarding the delay in transporting stock. A man who has had considerable experience in the matter expressed the opinion that, as the railways practically have a monopoly of tho stock transportation, they were neglecting this side of tho business. With ordinary goods and passenger services the railways had to face competition from motor lorries and buses, and therefore in his opinion they were concentrating on those services.
