Mr Jnnies Fletcher arrived from the north last Friday, and went away this morning. Mr A. M. Sidoy is off for a month’s stay in Christchurch, and travelled by the 11.34 train to-day.

Mr H. Hart went by the through express this morning, booked for Napier. Mr Alex. Duncan, railway ticket inspector, is transferred to Christchurch as outdoor transportation assistant, and wont thither to-day.

Dr Garfield Crawford passed through this morning on his way from Invercargill to Wellington. Mr Manrico Hodden, M.A., of Palmerston North, came to Dunedin from tho south this morning to carry on a ten-days’ mission in connection with tho new organisation entitled the youth movement against alcohol. Mr T. Gifkison was a. passenger hy the express from Invercargill to-day and proceeded north. Messrs L. IT. and Ivan James, with Mr James Wain (ranger to the. South Canterbury Acclimatisation _ Society) wont to Christchurch by train to-day after fishing at Lake To Anau. Tlio Otago Boys’ T 1 i;gh School Old Bovs’ Association executive has written to'Sir Francis Dillon Bell conveying congratulations on his golden wedding, and enclosing a small memento.
