DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. The market opened this morning with ported sales in Union Banks at £l4 14s 6d am] Commercial Banks at £1 8s 4d. Bank of Now Zo.alands were ou offer at £3, but no buyers were evident. Buyers of E.S. and A. Banks improved tlicir quotes to £8 7s, but sellers were not prepared to quit under £8 9s National Bank of Austral* asias (cont.) were not on offer, though buy* ers advanced tiioir price to £8 16s. There was still a buyer of the preference issue of Huddart, Parkers at £1 Os 6d, while a seller came on the market at £1 1». Buyers of Loan and Mnrr.antilcs improved their price to £9B this morning, but were still without sellers. The only quotation in the brewery section were for New Zealands, (here being a buyer at yesterday’s price of £2 5s 9d, with a seller at £2 7s 9d. A seller of .Mount Lyells came on ths market at £1 12s 6d but the best buyer remained at £llls lOd. Mount Isas were wanted at £1 10s without sellers, while there was a seller of Upper Nevis at £l, but no buyers. The Government War Bonds were in good demand, the only seller on the market being in 1938 4i per cent. Bonds, at £97 15s. Sales Reported.—Union Bank, £l4 14s 6d; Commercial Bank, £1 8s 4d.
