SPIRIT OF HIVE AND TAKE TRADE TREATIES FAVORED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. , VANCOUVER, April 13. (Received April 14, at 9.15 a.m.) In denouncing certain Canadian public men for criticising the Australian treaties, the chairman (Mr Tomlin) at the annual meeting of the British Columbia branch of the Canadian Manufacturers’ Association, said that the association favored the pact as well as negotiations for similar treaties in other parts of the Empire wherever possible. He declared: “There must he a spirit of give and take if Empire trade is to be built up.”.—Australian Press Association.
