FOUND TN THE RIVER. A Gore message states that Alexander Crawford, a married man, aped forty-eight years, a blacksmith at Gore, was 'missed from his home this week. The body was discovered in the Mataura River last night. Deceased had been in poor health lately. ACCIDENT AT REDCASTLE. A laborer, named George Menzies, while feeding a circular saw cutting timber at Redcastle, met with a serious accident. The saw burst, and the teeth struck him in the forehead, and penetrated his skull. He was taken to the hospital, where an operation was found necessary. His condition is serious.— Oamaru P.A. message.
