On Monday evening;, at 8 o’clock, the first of a series of lectures to parents and teachers will be given by Mr 1). J. Renfrew White in the Knox Church Sunday School Hall. The object of the series is to lay before the parents of children of kindergarten and elementary school ago an account of all the factors that act on the growing child, influencing for good or i'll its chances of maintaining perfect healthy throughout the long years of adult life before it. It is hold by the originators of the course of lectures that a mere inculcation of health knowledge and habits in the school is not enough, unless tho work of health habit formation is reinforced in the home. For this reason an attempt is being made to get teachers and parents together for instruction. Later lectures in the series will deal with such subjects as ‘The Nutrition of tho Body for Growth, lor Energy, and for Health,’ ‘The Preparation and Cooking of Food.’ ‘The Growth, Development, and Physical Nature of tho Body,’ and ‘The Physical Training of the Body.’
