It is understood that Mr Winston Churchill has entered into a contract to write twelve magazine articles entitled ‘ Personages 1 Used to Know.’ It is not permissible to mention the remuneration, but it exceeds a year’s salary as Chancellor of the Exchequer. ‘Mr Churchill’s secretary insists that it is no breach of Mr Baldwin’s ban because the articles are non-controversial. ■—Australian Press Association.
