A BOER WAR INCIDENT
The death has occurred near Benoni, South Africa, of Mr Clem. Roberts, who as a sergeant during the Boev War rescued Mr- "Winston Churchill from a dangerous position m the action near Dowetsdorp. During a skirmish Mr Churchill, while under heavy fire from tho Boers, w r as thrown from his horse, .which boltc4- Mr Roberts rode up to Mr Churchill, who mounted behind him, and Mr Roberts galloped (o safety, though his horse was wounded.
