MEH GATHER AT TRENTHAM [Pas United Press Association.! WELLINGTON, April 11. The Auckland and Wellington drafts of the special force to replace the marines on duty in Western {Samoa arrived at Trentham camp to-day to undergo a brief course of training. Applications throughout the dominion exceeded 500, and the authorities had no difficulty in securing the full Humber—-seventy-four officers and men. The Auckland quota comprises 22, and there are 18 from Wellington and 13 each from Christchurch and Dunedin. The remainder is being made up of five non-commissioned officers from the New Zealand Permanent Forces and three Staff Corps officei-s. Major Bell, of Dunedin, will be in charge, the other officers being Lieutenant Moore and Lieutenant Barry.
