Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., advise having received the following cablegram from their head office, London, dated the 2nd inst.: — Market for frozen meat is unchanged except for New Zealand North Island lamb, which is Id less per lb. Pork, 80-1001 b, average offering, at 7)d,‘ without finding buyers. Dairy Produce.—Owing to the small offerings the market is firm for butter and cheese. Quotations are as follow: —Danish butter, 176 s to 178 s; New Zealand finest butter, 160 sto 1645; Australian finest unsalted, ‘ 160 s to 1625, salted 156 s to 160 s; Australian, g.a.q., 150 sto 1545. Australian cheese, white and colored, not quoted. New Zealand cheese, white and colored, 925, 935; Canadian cheese, white 100 s to 104 s, colored 100 s to 102 s.
