SYDNEY. January 12. Olympic swimming tests were held in connection with the Australian National Games. The 100 metres free style was won by Laidiaw (New r South Wales); time, linn 7sec. The 200 metres breast

stroke was Aon hy Ba.vklon (New South Wales); time, Jmiu 12 l-ssec. The 100 metres back stroke was won by Carberry (New South Wales); time, Imin 21 4-ssec. The 100 metres was won by Jones (West Australia); time, smin 29 3-ssec. The women’s 200 metres breast stroke was won by Miss Robertson (New South Wales); time, dm in 34 3-ssec. The 400 metres was won by Miss Davey (New South Wales); time, 6min Usee. Other Olympic tests resulted: Wrestling—The light-weight division was won by Bougier (Victoria), tfa« bantam hy Ford (New South Wales), the welter by Gale (New_ South Wales), and the middle-weight by Sharpe (Victoria). The boxing bantam-weight was won by Sweeney (New South Wales).
