RINKS CHAMPIONSHIP FOURTH ROUND [Special to the ‘ Star.’] CHRISTCHURCH, January 13. The weather is perfect for the tournament to-day. In the game between Clarke and M'Curdy the score was 5-4 on the fourth head, but M'Curdy was a point ahead on the eighth. He increased his lead to 15-10, and then to 18-11 on the fourteenth. Clarke cut down the lead to a single point by the sixteenth. He scored 7 on the eighteenth, making him 4 ahead, and he retained his advantage to the finish. Last year’s champion rink, St. John’s, Wanganui (J. M'Milhm, H. Rowling, J. F. Wright, and Tv, H. Benefield), played in section C on the Cashmere green, and won all their games. To-day they play on the Edgeware green. The Ponsonby rink, skipped by Maxwell Walker, had throe wins in section F. A number of other past champions are taking part in the rinks championship. The winning rink will hold a handsome shield which was presented to the Dominion Bowling Association last year. Following are the results in the fourth round, played to-day:— Dunedin (J. D.
