PEER’S SUDDEN DEATH

DOCTOR'S ORDERS DISREGARDED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 11. (Received January 12, at noon.) Despite his doctor’s warning not to attend public ceremonies owing to a weak heart, Lord Glanusk (Lord-Lieu-tenant of Breconshire) arrived at Brecon to open the War Memorial Hospital, in which he was greatly interested. He began his speech: “I thank God for sparing me to see this day,” when he collapsed. He was carried to the hospital, and died in eight minutes. After the removal of Lord Glanusk his heir, Major Bailey, said that ho was sure his father would desire the ceremony to proceed, and accordingly handed over the deeds of the site to the enninnan of the hospital. The. bishop said the dedication prayer, when Lord Glanusk’s death was immediately announced. [Lord Glanusk, the second baron, was sixty-four years of age. Ho was formerly in the Grenadier Guards, and saw service in the South African War.]
