DOORSTEP ROMANCE
GOING ON FOR NINE YEARS. Complaining that a young man liv* ing in the same house conducted his love affairs on the door step almost njghtly Irom 10 to 12, and thus kept him awake, a resident asked the Willo.sden, North-west London, magistrate lor a summons' against the offender. Applicant stated that it had gone on tor nine years, and he could lose his sleep no longer. Tlie Magistrate: “ But how docs his love-making keep you awakep” The Man: “As he talks to the girl at tiie halt-opened door he taps with his heel on the front doorstep, and it is getting on my nerves.” “Have you spoken to him about itr” “ Yes, but when 1 do he only abuses me.” The Magistrate granted a summons for abusive language.
